Where’s My “Chompers”

While working at Station 32, on Engine 32, we had a semi-frequent medic response with Medic 32 to a single retired postman. The guy would often not take his diabetic medicine and we would get a call for man down. The inside of his home was a huge mess with stacks of old newspaper and junk everywhere next to a wood burning stove. We often wondered when we would be there on a fire response.

But the last time I ever went on this response, we were waiting for him to come around he says to the paramedic, "Say fellows, while I was thrashing around did you happen to see a set of chompers go flying by?" We didn't offer to help him find them.
